Throwback to the very first trip I did in Australia 10 years ago up the east coast. • I stayed on Fraser Island for two nights and explored the whole island on a guided tour. • One of the most popular tourist attractions on the island is The Maheno. • The SS Maheno was one of the first turbine-driven steamers. She plied a regular route between Sydney and Auckland until she was commissioned as a hospital ship in Europe during World War One. She also served in the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. • In 1935, she and her sister ship the Oonah were sold to Japan for scrap. • The rudders of the boats were removed and they were being towed to Japan. When they reached Queensland Waters, a cyclonic storm snapped the tow chain and the Maheno drifted helplessly onto Fraser Island's ocean beach. • Pretty cool right?! This shop holds so much history, and if it could speak.... wow, I could only imagine the stories it would tell. • • • • • • • • #travel #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelgram #travelholic #travelguide #traveladdict #traveltheworld #wanderlust #globetrotter #roadtrip #travelscrapbook #travelersnotebook #Queensland #visitqueensland #herveybay #fraserisland #mahenoshipwreck #australia #throwback #backpacker #backpackerlife #coupleswhotravel #potd #vacation #newhome #beach #beachlife #theadventuresoflizet

I’ve never been a fan of cities, but Brisbane is different. • In the 10 years I’ve (Lizzie) lived in Australia, I’ve only visited Brisbane 2 or 3 times before moving to Queensland. Those were quick in/out visits so I never really explored. • Last week we went to Brisbane and walked around South Bank. I’ve never been there before...... I loved it! It’s so beautiful and does not feel like a city at all. • I’ve lived in both Sydney and Melbourne, so I guess I’d put Brisbane in the same category as them.... big, over populated & heavily polluted. • Never did I expect to be strolling through South Bank, Brisbane, on a Saturday morning, enjoying my surroundings without being barged past by people in a rush. It’s definitely a city we could both live in🥰 • • • • • #travel #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelgram #travelholic #travelguide #traveladdict #traveltheworld #wanderlust #globetrotter #roadtrip #travelscrapbook #travelersnotebook #Queensland #visitqueensland #southbankbrisbane #brisbane #southbankmarkets #australia #coupleswhotravel #potd #vacation #newhome #explorer #exploremore #theadventuresoflizet

Love is love💕🌈 • How good are these stairs? I run up them when I go for my morning runs up to the Burleigh/Miami lookout. • Every time I see them, they make me smile🥰 but it sometimes makes me feel sad. • It saddens me that people have to fight for equal rights, just because of their sexual orientation. • One of my fathers good friends is gay, so growing up this was always the norm for me. I never questioned it, and I was never taught that it was wrong. • Et has several family members that are gay, again this has always been normal for him. • As I got older and met people along the way that thought it was wrong, I could never understand why? It’s just two people that love each other... the only difference is they are the same sex🤷🏻‍♀️ • Love is love🌈 • • • • • • • • #travel #travelphotography #loveislove #travelblogger #travelgram #travelholic #travelguide #traveladdict #traveltheworld #wanderlust #globetrotter #roadtrip #travelscrapbook #travelersnotebook #Queensland #visitqueensland #surfersparadise #burleighheads #goldcoast #australia #coupleswhotravel #potd #vacation #newhome #beach #beachlife #theadventuresoflizet

Central coast is probably one of my favourite places in NSW. This little clip of me making friends with the ducks was taken in Ettalong. • I literally crouched down and put my hand out, and a few of them came straight up to me to investigate.... I think they knew I was vegan and felt safe🥰 • @etienne_khoo just laughs at me..... everywhere we go, I always make friends with the local wildlife 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ • • • • • @creatorhub.app @mariefeandjakesnow @majapresets #pinksky• • • #travel #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelgram #travelholic #travelguide #traveladdict #traveltheworld #wanderlust #globetrotter #roadtrip #travelscrapbook #travelersnotebook #newsouthwales #visitnsw #centralcoast #ettalongbeach #explore #australia #coupleswhotravel #potd #vacation #ducks #beach #beachlife #theadventuresoflizet

#throwback.....Sunday🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ • This was such a fun trip!! • Continuing my throwback from the West Coast of Australia 9 years ago..... snorkelling at Coral Bay😍 • This was an amazing experience! The girls and I had travelled up the east coast, but snorkelling was so different here. The corals were brighter, close to shore and you were swimming with a lot more marine life than on the east coast. • We were even lucky enough to swim with a gorgeous sea turtle, AND we got to witness a shark having his teeth cleaned (like in shark tale😂🙈) by those teeny tiny fish..... at a very safe distance of course🙂 • Traveling is a part of who I am. It feeds my soul, and leaves me with memories I can cherish forever🥰 • • • • • • • #travel #travelphotography #travelblogger #travelgram #travelholic #travelguide #traveladdict #traveltheworld #wanderlust #globetrotter #roadtrip #travelscrapbook #travelersnotebook #coralbay #westernaustralia #backpacker #memories #visitwesternaustralia #snorkeling #visitwa #australia #coupleswhotravel #potd #vacation #explore #beach #beachlife #theadventuresoflizet

Feminism // The theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes. • Why in 2019, do men still think it is ok to control a woman’s body? Take her choices away from her? Shame her for her sexual choices? • I was reading an article earlier that the rapper, T.I, takes his 18 year old daughter to a gynaecologist each year to ensure her hyman is still attached. She’s EIGHTEEN years old, an adult! • A man.... controlling his adult daughters body, because god forbid... she goes out an has consensual sex and enjoys it🤫 • He obviously doesn’t understand the female body too well.... if he did, he’d understand that other things like mensuration products can break it🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ • This isn’t teaching his daughter to respect her body, this is shaming her into thinking sex is a bad. • Women!! Your body is your own! No one else “owns” it but YOU! • Anyway.... here’s me sitting in front of a MASSIVE flower in Gardens by the Bay🤗

I’ve been looking through my old travel pictures from when I (Lizzie) was backpacking around Australia 10 years ago. • Out of the 18 months I spent travelling, the West Coast was my favourite. Their beaches and national parks are like no other I’d experienced in Australia. • These photos are from Shell Beach, which is located in Shark Bay World Heritage Park. That white sand is actually thousands of tiny little shells. The water has such a high salt content that you end up floating whether you like it or not😂 • If you’re planning on travelling around Australia, then you should definitely put Shell Beach on your hit list🥰

When we have days off and we’re not too tired, we like to go out exploring. Yesterday was one of those days🥰 • We live a 2 hour drive from Noosa, and neither of us have been before, so we thought, stuff it!! Let’s go on a day trip.... and it did not disappoint😍 • We should have probably of checked events etc for that weekend..... we arrived right in the middle of a triathlon🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ so it took us quite a while to find a park🙈 oh well, it’s all part of the adventure, right🤷🏻‍♀️ • There is plenty of free parking for 2 or more hours at a time, gorgeous beaches, surf and a beautiful coastal walk through Noosa National Park. We were lucky enough to see some cheeky dolphins frolicking around close to the shore. • We are so grateful for this life we live, the freedom we have and beauty of this world we get to enjoy so much🙏🏽

Twilight in Broadbeach💫✨ • I can never get over the magic of sunsets, especially in QLD. • Sunset walks along the beach are up there with my ‘top ten stress relief tips’😌🙏🏽

Australian wildlife is incredible (when it’s not trying to kill you😂🙈). • Check out this guy, who literally stood in the spot light and posed for several photos without flinching🙊 • He is a water dragon/lizard, and can be found near water in South East Queensland. This little guy is harmless, and will run quicker than you can say ‘Komodo’, if he felt threatened. • Isn’t he adorable?

Throwing it back to whale and dolphin watching from Cape Byron a couple of months ago. • This cheeky pod of dolphins loved riding those waves🐬🌊 • You can tell I’m really excited😂🙈

“She would be half a planet away, floating in a turquoise sea, dancing by moonlight to flamenco guitar.” • I just had my 32nd trip around the sun and I feel this quote is a perfect representation of a libran..... fellow librans/air signs, do you agree? • I often find myself immersed in the cosmo’s, looking for souls that match mine. Those deep, intensifying conversations that last for hours, that go beyond this realm, those souls are my people💫✨ • What star sign are you?
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Reflection✨💫 • Next week I hit my 32nd trip around the sun. I look at what I’ve achieved, the challenges I’ve hit along the way, and the new adventures I’ll be embarking on next year, with such pride. • It took me a long time to accept that I was good enough, smart enough and ambitious enough to achieve anything I wanted to in this world. • 2019 has been a crazy, fun filled year.... but I am so looking forward to hitting the books again next year, learning and growing more in a field I am so passionate about, nutrition & dietetics. • What are your plans for 2020?
Image for theadventuresoflizet
I am so incredibly proud of this man! His vision for dancers and the opportunities he wants to create & offer them, blows my mind! • From being a street dancer from a less than fortunate background in Malaysia, auditioning and being offered scholarships in several Melbourne dance schools when he didn’t speak a word of English, to now being a successful and WELL RESPECTED member of the dance community, with over 20 years experience under his belt..... makes me so proud to be doing life with him. • You are a humble man with complete integrity, and I love you for it💕 • “Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun and tired of their shade.” • Throwback to South Africa, when you were apart of this really cool dance competition😘🙊

Just hanging out in 5th Avenue, New York..... jokes! This was at universal studios. I loved the attention to detail here, it really felt like I was in NY..... but without the traffic, the pollution or people.... so like a better version of New York 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ • I had no idea just how big Universal Studios was, until we had to leave😂🙈 • A full day is needed to explore and enjoy everything (if you love minions like I do, you’ll probably spend an hour just in the shop🙊).
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Gardens by the Bay, what a surprisingly breathtaking spot you are. • Overly touristy places don’t tend to impress us, they are often simplistic, with nothing overly attention grabbing. • There is nothing simplistic about Singapore and it’s glorious architecture, with tourist attractions like this grabbing your attention from the get go. We spent around 3 hours here not only exploring these gorgeous gardens, but getting an education on ecosystems, how they work and what we can do to keep them thriving. • I love that I get to explore this crazy world with you mi amor💕
Image for theadventuresoflizet
When you don’t want to do a classic uncomfortable looking tourist picture, with a fake smile on your face, you make yourself look like a dork instead🤷🏻‍♀️ • We had so much fun at Universal Studios in Singapore. No need for kids when you’re just a big kid yourself🤗 • I’m a person that laughs in uncomfortable situations, or when I’m nervous..... big roller coasters are one of said situations🤣 • I highly recommend getting queue jump tickets for the park, as the lines are horrendous and you will spend HOURS waiting otherwise.
Image for theadventuresoflizet
South Africa.... the mother land, where all life began.... and also music making🥰 • Maybe this is why I feel so connected to the land and it’s culture? • For as long as I can remember, I have longed to go to Africa. I was always in constant awe of the wildlife, the dancing and the music that came from the country. • My heart bleeds when I hear about poaching, the economic struggles and inequality the country goes through. • I’ll see you again soon motherland, I can’t wait for you to teach me some more valuable lessons✨💫🙏🏽
Image for theadventuresoflizet
My everyday man crush💕 • He is my opposite..... and that’s why we work. Of course we have things in common, but ultimately we are complete opposites. • I’m hot headed, he’s calm and patient. • I need explanations, a deeper understanding....he sees things for what they are, no further explanation needed. • I’m book smart, he’s street smart (it’s honestly a wonder I’ve made it this far in life without him🙄🤦🏻‍♀️). • He’s the yin to my yang☯️ • Are you and your significant other two peas in a pod, or complete opposites?

“People choose to struggle when people don't want to relax. Sometimes it is not on your side. Relax; calm down. No matter how hard the waves are, you will float on the ocean”

//Relationships// • Lets talk real talk for a minute. Relationships aren’t easy, it takes A LOT of work..... patience, compassion, empathy, space, commitment & love. • Our relationship hasn’t always been smooth sailing, we’ve hit some real bumpy roads along the way.... but we choose to stay and work on the areas that need fixing because we love each other. • It’s a two-way street, you have to be willing to listen and understand your partners thoughts & concerns without making it all about yourself (we are both stubborn, so you can imagine how heated it gets sometimes😂🙈). • Relationships will change as the people in them change.... we all grow, sometimes together.... sometimes apart. They aren’t going to be the same as they were in the start. It’s a journey, enjoy the ride💫 • Mi amor, you drive me crazy at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s to our perfectly imperfect relationship💏
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Spontaneous day trips are the best! • We are still learning our surroundings here in QLD, making every day a new adventure! • We went for a drive a few days ago to Victoria point, we noticed a ferry that went to an Island called Coochiemudlo.... it was $5 each way and took 8 minutes to get there. So we parked the car and thought, let’s go🤷🏻‍♀️ • It was unplanned, but it was such a fun day. We spent the next two hours walking around the island, before having some lunch and heading back across the water to the mainland. • I’m still in awe that this is literally in our backyard😍🙌🏽 • Spontaneity feeds my soul🥰
Image for theadventuresoflizet
I can’t believe we’ve only been in Queensland for a little over a month.... it feels like we left Melbourne so long ago😢 • This little beauty was from one of our first stops up the coast, in Merimbula, NSW. • Having explored Australia 10 years ago as a backpacker, I thought there wouldn’t be much that I haven’t seen, but I was so wrong. This incredible country continues to surprise me with its insane aesthetics on the daily💕
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We’re still settling in on the GC, and I thought while I have all of this spare time on my hands, I’d clean up my social media platforms a bit. • It’s been a day full of nostalgia and gratitude, realising just how much travelling we’ve done over the past 18months😱 • As I’ve been sorting through videos and pictures from our overseas trips, it’s giving me those itchy feet again😂🙈 • Our next big trip won’t be until next July, when we head off to Mexico. Until then, I’ll let the nostalgia continue🥰
Image for theadventuresoflizet
I love exploring, you never know what you’re going to stumble upon. • We went to Witches Falls on Mt Tamborine a couple of days ago, and during our walk we came across this incredible tree😍 • Given the size of the roots and the height, I’d say it’s at least a couple of hundred years old. Isn’t nature amazing?!!
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Ellie’s.... my spirit animal🐘🥰 • I practise gratitude daily, counting as many blessings as possible. • We’ve had two incredible experiences with elephants, both so different from each other, and on different sides of the world. • When we were in Thailand last year, we researched sanctuaries (that were actually sanctuaries) and found one not too far from where we were staying in Phuket. • Each elephant had a story, a tragic one.... but now they were safe, living their best lives. The interaction was incredible, but I couldn’t help still feel sad for these majestic creatures, because they could never be released back into the wild.... they wouldn’t survive, and they just would not be safe from us.... man ‘kind’! • Going on a safari through Pilenasberg National Park in South Africa, allowed us to experience these incredible animals in their true habitat, with no interaction with humans. • I’m so eternally grateful for experiences like these, because it allows me to pass awareness and knowledge onto others. It also encourages me to keep learning and do more for these amazing animals, who are declining due to our species.

Lennoxhead.... what a beautiful part of the world you are💫✨💕

It’s crazy to think that we left Melbourne only 5 weeks ago, to begin a new adventure. It feels like months ago that I was sat here in Huskisson, taking in the indescribable beauty around me🥰 • 2019, you have been so amazing, and I am SO grateful for every experience, every lesson, every new friendship and every opportunity that I’ve been handed🙏🏽 • I can’t believe we are in the final months of 2019!! What have been some of your highlights?
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Hey insta👋🏽 • Sorry for the hiatus in posts, we had some ‘moving in’ to do🤗 • We are now officially residents of the Gold Coast, and we are absolutely loving it! • How could you not with a coast line like this and sunshine on the daily🥰 • We’re still settling at the moment, and major traveling won’t be happening until next year. So I’ll be living through our previous trips until then😂 • There are so many little hidden gems to explore here, as well as only being a couple of hours away from Noosa and other gorgeous places.... so do expect some more road trip pictures and exploration days soon💕

“We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.” • Be bold, be brave, be compassionate, have empathy, love like you’ve never felt loss, take risks... BE YOU! • We maybe one drop in the ocean, but each drop is unique💫✨ • 📸 - @etienne_khoo 🎨 - @euphoricliving_

“My wish is to always stay like this, quietly in a corner of nature” • This quite possibly be my new favourite place to go get lost for a few hours. • We went to Minyon Falls a couple of days ago, expecting a beautiful waterfall that we could chill at and explore..... what we didn’t expect was a hike through what felt like Jurassic Park😂🙈 • It was a long hike, that involved climbing and standing VERY close to unsupported cliff edges (I’m petrified of heights, so this was super challenging for my mental state), but we LOVED it. • If you love hiking/walking, I’d definitely do these trails if you’re in the area. Oh and the lookout at the falls is just a whole other world😱 • 📸- @etienne_khoo

For the past 5 years, my life has been chaos..... studying, working multiple jobs to pay for those studies AND to keep a roof over our heads, having no time for myself, trying to please others and ultimately never putting myself first. • This move is everything I needed... to start fresh, to slow down and start putting myself first... to put my needs before everyone else’s, to concentrate on my goals, my health and well-being and to realise my own self worth.... and not to feel guilty about it. • We can be such people pleasers, doing what we perceive others would want us to do in order for validation. STOP! Be yourself, and the right people will come into your life. My beautiful sister said something to me that has stuck in my head “the people who come into your life are either a warning or an example”.... do you think you could pick those people out in your life? • While we wait to start our lives in the Gold Coast, I’m learning more about myself and what I can to do to grow. It’s confronting, challenging and uncomfortable.... which is exactly what I need💕
Image for theadventuresoflizet
“If you are always trying to be ‘normal’, you will never know how amazing you can be..... great things never came from comfort zones.” • Beautiful Lennox Head, we love you! We love our lives and how simple it really can be if you just step out into the world and TRUST that everything works out the way you want it to. • This is the first time in a week I’ve worn something long sleeved, and a scarf..... remember, this is winter, and apparently the worst of it. If this is the worst of it, I’m sure we’ll be just fine😂🙌🏽
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We’ve come to the end of our epic road trip, but not the end of our adventure. • We haven’t exactly found a place to live yet, but luckily enough one of our close friends, my adopted big sister, lives in Lennox Head and has offered us her place to stay for the moment. • This means we get to enjoy the beauty of Byron Bay and all of her glorious surroundings a little bit longer until we find our new home💕 • I love Melbourne, and I miss our friends..... but it’s a lifestyle and weather I never want to go back to😂🙈 holidays will do just fine🙊
Image for theadventuresoflizet
My everyday man crush.... Stopping for a moment to get the sand out of his shoe🙈 • We’re currently in Byron Bay and you would not believe we were still in winter! • We did the cape Byron lighthouse walk yesterday, and the weather was perfect for it. There were people on the beach sun baking, people out surfing and we saw so many whales and dolphins giving us a little show out at sea. It was an incredible day. • Byron Bay is such a beautiful part of the world, with stunning beaches, beautiful walking tracks and excellent places to eat out (exceptionally easy for vegans too🙌🏽). • It’s only an hour away from the Gold Coast too.... safe to say we will be visiting here frequently🙊
Image for theadventuresoflizet
I am counting down the months (I’m hoping it’s months😂🤞🏽) until we are back in South Africa. • Africa for me, isn’t just a travel destination, it’s an education.... and I’m eager to go back and learn. • Elephants are magnificent creatures, they travel in herds and are incredibly social beings. • Elephants are a threatened species, again thanks to mankind. Asian elephants are used as worker elephants or as entertainment. African elephants are hunted for their tusks. • It seems that ivory is worth more than the life of a beautiful elephant or rhino😞 • There are some very incredibly brave people.... HEROES.... in Africa that put their life on the line every day to protect rhinos and elephants from being poached. We can help them too by donating to sanctuaries and organisations that help protect against poachers. • Be the change💕
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Beautiful sunsets in Ettalong😍 • Our travels up the east coast of NSW has almost come to an end and we have so many highlights. • Each stop had something unique, making it difficult to have a favourite stop. The sunset and our view in Ettalong is definitely one of those unique moments.
Image for theadventuresoflizet
“Each day we are given an opportunity to put our boat in the water. Take it!”
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We made some friends last night when we were watching the sunset over Ettalong, NSW. • Lizzie is a massive animal lover and will literally stop and chat to any animal that crosses her path. So naturally, she spent about 20 minutes chatting to the ducks, as they flocked around us and followed us along the beach. • Ettalong is a beautiful little coastal town, located on the Central Coast of NSW. It’s the perfect place to chill out, or go on some walking trails. There’s also whale and dolphin watching activities, as well as taking the ferry to Palm beach (Home and Away), which is only a 30 minute ride away.
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Safari life! Pilanesberg National Park, home to big cats, striped horses, water donkeys, wild dogs, lots of Ellie’s, beautifully protected rhinos and so much more. • Africa’s landscape is breathtaking, it hits you in the feels..... you some how feel connected to it as soon as you’re in the park, you’re in their home. You’re observing their way of life. • My heart bleeds when I hear of poachers killing babies and their mums for their horns.... or just for trophy hunting😞 how could anyone ever harm another living being? • Africa, we will be back! And we promise to do what we can to help fight poachers💕 • 📸 - @jadedelaronde
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Hyams beach is home to not only the whitest sand in Australia, but the world! It’s also ranked the 8th best beach in the world to visit. You can understand why, look at its beauty! • It gets incredibly packed here in summer, which while it’s great for tourism, it’s highly frustrating for the locals. • If you want to avoid the crowds, go in the quieter months.... and if you’re not fussed about sun baking, then go in winter. There was literally no one around when were walking along the beach. It was perfect👌🏽
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Can you believe we are still in Australia😱 check out the scenery! • I am always in total awe of Australia’s beauty! I’ve (Lizzie) travelled a lot of Australia as a backpacker 10 years ago, and over the past 4 years I’ve explored more with @etienne_khoo. • Every time we do road trips, or travel overseas, we try to go somewhere different. There’s so many places we’d love to revisit.... but we have to get through the rest of our bucket list first🙊 • Huskisson & Jervis Bay is definitely a weekend or a week stay. There’s lots of walking trails, whale & dolphin watching, but most importantly..... quiet time. You won’t get crowded beaches with litter everywhere. Check it out🤗 • Just quietly, how handsome is my man🥰🙊
Image for theadventuresoflizet
So we jumped ships and decided to go island hopping in the tropics.... jokes! We’re still in Australia! • We are currently in Huskisson, NSW, which is the gateway to Jervis Bay. The beaches here are the cleanest I’ve ever seen in Australia, with the whitest sand and crystal clear water. • If you don’t have the time or money to go overseas, but badly need an escape from the rat race life, I HIGHLY recommend Jervis Bay😍🙌🏽 • Oh and look.... it’s getting warmer! We’re starting to lose layers😜💪🏽
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We are currently in Jervis Bay, our 3rd stop on our road trip up to the GC.... and almost half way there😱 • Yesterday we stopped in Batemans Bay for lunch and to stretch our legs. We found this pretty look out (I’m petrified of heights, so taking this picture on a ledge with no support had my tummy churning😂🙈).... look at that water😍 • I believe I was a mermaid in a past life🧜🏼‍♀️ I always find water so soothing. I feel safe and supported when around it.... I know that sounds crazy, because it’s pretty dangerous right? But for me, the best mediations I have, are by the sea. It’s as though it hears me, helps heal my wounds and encourages me to keep on going. • Do you meditate? Where’s your happy/safe place?
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Still missing those Cold South African mornings, that turn into the most magical days💫✨ • South Africa has certainly stolen a piece of my heart... I will never be able to explain how I felt being there. I have so much gratitude for the country, it’s culture and their incredible animals. • I am a very curious person, I like to learn.... and every time I travel to a new country, I do my best to learn as much as I can while I’m there. • I thought I was quite educated in the wildlife here, but I was wrong..... through this education, I feel more connected to country. Always a student🤓 • What’s your favourite travel destination?
Image for theadventuresoflizet
@euphoricliving_ “Hey babe, let’s take a nice timed picture, instead of an up close selfie for a change🙄..... wait, do we pose🤔” • @etienne_khoo “act natural😬” 📸 • We are such a goofy couple, we very rarely take things seriously. What’s the point? Life is short.... and you’re never going to get out alive🤷🏻‍♀️ so make the most with the time that have, with the people that you love, exploring unexplored places together💫✨💕

“I was always an unusual girl. My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean.”
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Yesterday we arrived in Berrambool, located on the sapphire coast of NSW. • Both Et and myself have been hit with a bit of a cold since coming back from overseas, so we decided to make this destination a ‘chill out’ stop. • I’d say we have the perfect air bnb for that..... check out last nights sunset😍
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Behind me is the Gardens by the Bay..... in front of me is my everyday man crush, standing under Marina Bay Sands. • We were only in Singapore for three days before jetting off to South Africa, and it wasn’t enough time to see everything. • I’m not a fan of cities, but Singapore I’d gladly revisit🤗
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We left Melbourne and started our journey up to the Gold Coast two days ago. We stayed in lakes entrance for the first two nights, and today we arrived in Berrambool, NSW. • We are lovers of national parks, nature and long walks.... but yesterday’s walk took the biscuit😂🙈 • We were expecting a round the track trail on the Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail, but found ourselves still moving further away from our car 2 hours in😬 with less than two hours sunlight left, we decided to call it a day and head back. • Needless to say, we definitely earned our dinner and an early night before today’s travelling🙊
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Check out this handsome boy in all of his glory😍 • Boy, we are missing South Africa and these beautiful creatures BAD😢 • But, we have started our new adventure.... driving up the southern and eastern coast of Australia, to reach our new home in the Gold Coast☺️ • Life is such an adventure💕

We already miss this place, people and this peacock.... #etiennekhoo #idosouthafrica #travel #theadventuresoflizet

“I have found that if you love life, life will love you back” • I love doing life with you, mi amor! It’s always exciting.... and most definitely challenging..... but that’s how we learn and grow I guess. • I wouldn’t change our unsettled, crazy life for anything😂💕
Image for theadventuresoflizet
Has anyone checked out Jewel at Singapore airport? It’s a pretty cool airport to have a layover in. • Jewel is home to the largest in door waterfall, which is even taller than Christ the redeemer in Brazil. Pretty impressive huh? • There is so many things to do and see, making those long layovers much more bearable.
Image for theadventuresoflizet
We are coming to an end South Africa, and we are going to miss you! Your incredible beauty, culture, people and the animals..... but know that we will be back. • Next up, Australian road trip from Melbourne to our new home..... the Gold Coast😍

Oh hey cheeky monkey🙋🏻‍♀️🙊 • I love to make friends with all the wildlife.... @etienne_khoo hates it🙄😂 • These little naughty creatures hang around and wait for the perfect opportunity to steal food or whatever they can from you, so make sure you hold on to your belongings😬

*cue bad animal crossing the road joke* 😂🙈 • Yesterday we went on a safari through Pilanesberg National Park, the home to some of South Africa’s most incredible and endangered species. • We were so lucky to have been able to see literally everything. We saw herds of elephants and single male elephants, giraffes, a mother and her piglet warthogs, hippopotamus’s, baboons, zebras, wildebeests, a cheetah, a lion and his lioness and many rhinos. • Rhinos are critically endangered due to illegal poaching for their horn in Asian countries, Vietnam in particular. Our guide was not allowed to tell us how many rhinos they have in the park as they are protected. Unfortunately they have lost 2 rhinos this year. • My favourite travel couple @mariefeandjakesnow are doing something amazing to help these incredible creatures. By donating to help protect rhinos, you could win the chance to go to South Africa in December with them and visit a rhino orphanage amongst other really cool and rewarding things. Check out their page for full details💕

Good morning South Africa, aren’t you a beautiful sight💕

We went quad biking yesterday, just out side of our resort..... which also happens to be in a national park. • We saw so much wildlife, I couldn’t believe it! This beautiful mama observed us slowly passing by her, before trotting off with her Bub after we startled him/her. • I believe animals should be left in the wild, unless they are rescues and cannot be reintroduced to the wild. For me, I get so much satisfaction seeing animals in their natural habitat. It’s where they belong, not locked up in cages, performing tricks for human entertainment🙄😏 • Tomorrow we are going on a safari.... I’m SO excited😍

We’re currently in South Africa and I am LOVING the wildlife here. There are always peacocks and cheeky little monkeys joining us in the morning for breakfast. • Male peacocks are absolutely stunning, spreading their feathers when looking for a mate. These handsome boys roam around our resort as they please💕

Singapore has some of craziest architectural buildings I’ve ever seen. Seriously..... the person who thought “hey, let’s design a building that has a boat on top.... with an infinity pool” is a creative genius that LOVES to take risks😍🙌🏽

Oh hey Singapore🤗 so happy to finally meet you✨ • We are only here 3 days and we have tried to cram as much in as possible. Garden by the Bay was on top of the list of things to see here, and it did not disappoint. It was so much more than I expected, with education on ecosystems, climate change and what we can do to help our planet. • If you’re a lover of plants, art, culture and our mother, I highly recommend checking it out💫

Black swans, how beautiful are these creatures? These gorgeous babies were living their best lives in the bay, as we walked from Hampton to St kilda. • Fun fact Monday:- did you know that black swans are native to Australia? They are also monogamous breeders, but are largely in homosexual pairings, mainly between males. They have threesomes with a female until she has laid her egg, and then push her out. The males then raise the chick themselves, taking turns to incubate the egg until it hatches. Pretty cool huh?

While we were travelling through Thailand, Malaysia & Scotland last year, we filmed little videos to look back in. @etienne_khoo then sent those videos to a friend of his to edit for an engagement party surprise for myself and everyone at our party earlier this year..... although he ended up caving and telling me, cause he doesn’t know how to keep surprises😂🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ • This video brings back so many incredibly HAPPY memories, as well as getting me excited for our next adventure!! • 3 weeks mi amor, and we’ll be making new travel memories together🥰 • "The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page"

“Much of human behaviour can be explained by watching the wild beasts around us. They are constantly teaching us things about ourselves and the way of the universe, but most people are too blind to watch and listen.”
