Due to my uni I often have to learn something by heart, be it long texts or lists of vocabulary. For some people it can be quite a challenge, but I've developed my own technique that helps me learn huge lists of words in just two or three hours
❣️You need to mouth everything or even say it out loud, it rly assists your brain
💥 Read the text you need to learn
💥 Divide it into equal small batches
💥 Read the first batch again
💥 Divide it into separate phrases
💥 Read the first phrase, close your eyes and repeat it 3-5 times
💥 Do so with the rest of the batch
💥 Re-read this part of the text attentively
💥 Close your eyes and try to repeat the batch word for word
💥 Take a 2min break
💥 Take the same steps with the rest of the text
💥 When you're finished, re-read the whole text attentively and try to repeat it all word for word
💥 If you have time, re-read the text every day before it's due to constantly refresh it in your memory
This method has been doing wonders for me and it works both with texts and vocab lists!
Try it and let me know in the comments, if it works for you!
I hope this post has been helpful!
Q: do you have a special routine for memorising?
